The Peter Schiff Show (6/12/12) had Senator Rand Paul as the guest. Paul answers to backlash on Schiff Radio, due to unexpected political backfire from an endorsement of Mitt Romney, the Republican presidential nominee.
Some Libertarians felt alienated because of the Romney endorsement. There might have been an automatic assumption that Paul would stand firm to his father’s ideology. Ron Paul supporters were very dedicated and understandably felt a sense of hopelessness after losing the nomination.
Romney just isn’t very popular with independent voters in America, and Rand Paul has to contend with this background. There’s not much enthusiasm for either party at the moment. Both are seen as business as usual.
