“Contracting With the Enemy”
Are American taxpayers unwittingly subsidizing terrorist networks in the Middle East? A current report has certainly entertained this idea.
According to Russia Today, “American taxpayers have unwittingly paid more than $150 million to companies throughout the Middle East that are known to have helped finance terrorist attacks on US soldiers stationed in Afghanistan, according to a new internal US government report.”
The article goes further to say that Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) was concerned where US tax dollars were going to.
From ABC News: “The U.S. government may accidentally be funneling millions of dollars to the very terrorists and insurgents it’s fighting in Afghanistan through sloppy contracting regulations, according to a new government report.”
