Treating Depression With Botox Injections

Are you serious? The so called medical community is now making claims that for curing the winter blues it is perfectly safe using Botox injections. It’s interesting folks. Botox to treat depression?

What they refer to as Botox is Botulinum toxin, which is a neurotoxic protein produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum and related species. Did you read the word toxin?

Excuse me while I kiss the sky!

If my Wiki page is correct, then Botulinum is the most acutely lethal toxin known to man, intravenously or intramuscularly when inhaled.

“In cosmetic applications, botulinum toxin is considered safe and effective for reduction of facial wrinkles, especially in the uppermost third of the face.” Go ahead and take your chances.

Okay. So wrinkles are a natural part of aging. None of us can stop it. If there was a safe reliable way, all of us would probably jump on board. To inject a toxin into a perfectly healthy body is equivalent to jumping out of a perfectly built airplane. It does not make any sense.

Warning: “Most commonly, botulinum toxin can be injected into the wrong muscle group or spread from the injection site, causing paralysis of unintended muscles.” There can be serious side effects!

Excuse me while I kiss the sky! (Wrinkles included.)
