PREgnant MARes’ UrINe
A very popular medicine, called Premarin, is actually made from horse urine of pregnant mares. This has been one of the most prescribed drugs in the United States. It has been one of the best selling drugs in America.
Premarin is supposedly a form of hormone replacement therapy, called conjugated estrogens. Premarin pills are used most commonly in post menopausal women who have had a hysterectomy to treat hot flashes. Yet, many women take this medication for prevention of hot flashes, and various other conditions.
This type of medicine is also routinely used for treating osteoporosis, and as a replacement of estrogen for women having ovarian problems.
Another similar brand name is called Prempro.
Premarin increases the risk for heart attacks, strokes, blood clotting, breast cancer, uterine cancer, abnormal vaginal bleeding, liver disease, birth defects, etc.
Farms in North Dakota and Canada have been collecting urine from pregnant mares since 1942. This is absolutely big business. Yes, the more urine the more income.
Animal rights advocates have been reporting about the abuses being committed in the name of medical science. The retired mares, which can no longer produce foals, are often slaughtered. The foals that have no home are slaughtered.
It is reported that over 8 million women have taken this drug, that is made from horse urine. Estrogen taken from horse urine may be natural for a horse, but is this really natural for ladies?
