A recent video sensation titled Kony 2012 has saturated the American culture. The video raised millions of hits and was aired nationally. The recurring theme was a “bad boogieman” invading Uganda and killing innocent little children. It was later found out that this Kony guy had been totally absent in Uganda for well over five years. So, what’s all the hype really about?

Christopher Greene of Greenwave.com suggests that that the Kony video supports a U.S. led invasion of Africa and is a “complete propaganda piece”.

Alex Jones of Infowars is skeptical of this new agenda set in place and he has implied that many Americans have been misled into believing a false message of hope. Alex confirms that famous actors have been used to make the story believable to the American public.

Jones comments: “It’s literally at a Sesame Street level in these Kony videos. This is so horrible. It’s so evil and it is the most sickeningly transparent propaganda I’ve ever seen”.

Centre for Research on Globalization with the website called Global Research has offered a new title —  KONY 2012: State Propaganda for a New Generation. An Orchestrated Campaign to Justify US Military Intervention in Africa.

KONY 2012 is a cleverly orchestrated campaign specifically aimed at today’s youth, the future citizens of the world. Using state-of-the-art techniques and new technologies, the campaign is a first attempt at “reverse propaganda”, where the agenda APPEARS to emanate from the people. By using emotions, irrational thoughts and superficial explanations, KONY 2012 attempts to trick well-meaning people, who desire to make a positive change in the world, to instead fuel a gigantic war machine that is controlled by the world’s elite.

Is KONY 2012 trying to eradicate child-soldiers or is it attempting to create a new kind of child-soldiers?

Is the Kony video reminiscent of Hitler propaganda using the Hitler Youth? Is the primary aim to instill motivation that enables members of youth, as soldiers, to fight faithfully for the next cause of American invasion?

News from ADELANTO. A California man intentionally cut his hand off on Wednesday 21, 2012, and had to be airlifted, according to the Victorville Daily Press.

A Sheriff’s dispatcher received a call at 1:23 p.m. and responded to an apartment in the 18000 block of Montezuma Street in Adelanto. The unidentified man, who wasn’t the one to call 911, was found with a self-inflicted wound, Sheriff’s Sgt. Shelley Krusbe said. It wasn’t clear why he cut off his hand or whether alcohol or drugs were involved.

The man was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center, Krusbe said. Details on his condition were not immediately released.

To The West: It’s Venus And Jupiter

March 20. March Equinox. The March equinox occurs at 05:14 UTC. The Sun will shine directly on the equator and there will be nearly equal amounts of day and night throughout the world.

It’s springtime, or just a few hours away from it officially, and if you look to your western sky right after dusk (the best viewing time is approximately around 10:00 PM EST), you’ll see Venus and Jupiter. Venus is on the top right and Jupiter is just below on the left, what is referred to as conjunction. This is astronomy in the northern hemisphere.

If you want to see something spectacular, be sure not to miss Venus and Jupiter in the west. They both look extremely large and magnificent. I’m not sure how long they’ll be hanging around so you better view them soon. Remember, just after dusk. (Observation inserted here: Both planets seemed to have vanished into the horizon later on in the night.)

For an added bonus, Pleaides is just above Venus, slightly to the left. Pleaides is a very prominent star cluster located in the constellation of Taurus. See if you can spot this gem!

If you look to the east, you can also see Mars and Saturn, although you might have to wait a few hours into the night to see the latter.

Orion is very visible and can be spotted in the southwestern region of the sky. Orion contains three stars that are placed horizontally; they are Orion’s belt.

Sky & Telescope magazine is considered to be one of the best in the astronomy field. Personally, I have not subscribed to this magazine, but it looks like a good one.
