The mouse highlights everything I click. My computer is acting strange. Is there something wrong with my mouse? Is this a virus on my computer? What do I do? Yikes!
One Click Highlights Everything: The Three Main Symptoms
1. One click highlights everything. I cannot unhighlight text. When I click on any text, some strange phenomenon occurs. An alien of some sorts keeps highlighting the text, and the text simply refuses to become unhighlighted. The whole page is inundated with highlighted text. The Sticky Key Monster has taken over!
2. My Favorites Menu remains on the screen after clicking on a bookmark or favorite link. The favorites menu will not go away, unless I manually click it off myself. This is not standard procedure.
3. Everytime I click on a hyperlink, the page opens up in a new window. Again, this is not standard, and should not be happening.
SOLUTION – Permanently disable sticky keys
1. Click start button on the bottom of desktop page.
2. Go to Control Panel.
3. Go to Accessibility Options. (top left of page)
4. Top section reads StickyKeys. Click Settings next to StickyKeys.
5. Then you see Keyboard Shortcut.
6. Uncheck “use shortcut”. That’s it.
StickyKeys is a feature created by Microsoft to help users with physical disabilities. StickyKeys allows a user to press a modifier key (Shift, Alt, Ctrl) or the Windows key, and and have it remain active until another key is pressed. To turn this feature off, simply press both shift keys at the same time.

does not work, accessibility options does not exist, found a folder called “accessibility” but there’s no “option to disable sticky keys” or even a settings option, just a place to set what key you want to be the “sticky key”

Excellent blog! Do you have any recommendations for aspiring writers?
I’m planning to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you recommend starting with a free platform like WordPress or

I often visit your site and have noticed that you don’t update it
often. More frequent updates will give your blog higher authority & rank in google.
I know that writing articles takes a lot of time, but you can always help
yourself with miftolo’s tools which will shorten the time of
creating an article to a couple of seconds.
try hitting the left shift button 5 times fairly quickly? thats a quick way to toggle that on my laptop
Thanks!
Thanx, it worked
I think my computer problem is different again.
If in Word, if I click my left mouse button once, it selects all the text. I cannot then un-select it.
Even if in Windows Explorer, if I left click a drive icon once, it selects all the text in the drive name box. Again, I can’t un-select it. The only way out is to close the window or that app.
This plays havoc with text editing in word as many of the functions are disabled as the app is waiting for you to do something with this text it thinks you have selected.
In Windows Explorer it then wants to delete the name of the drive because it thinks you have selected the drive name text.
Any ideas anyone? Running W10 with USB wireless mouse.

Yessss! The mouse writing is masterfully written. It’s as cathartic as it is a tension builder in a mouse kind of literature way. Said style is masterful… you see where I’m going with this?
