I don’t know about you, but I find it hard to find a good pair of hi-fi stereo headphones without paying a fortune. If we’re talking about entry level performance, it’s going to be hard to beat this pair — Sennheiser HD 202 II Professional Headphones (Black). This is probably the best entry level you will find.
Sennheiser is a good brand for headphones and microphones. This company makes good quality products and is well established.
For the average music listener that doesn’t want to spend a lot cash, the Sennheiser HD 202 II is as close to DJ quality as you’re going to get. These are not Bose or the more expensive Sennheiser. But you will enjoy a great set of headphones at a nice price.
The headpiece is made of plastic and is a bit flimsy, but it doesn’t seem to be a problem.
The cable, or wire is 10 feet long, and this is a feature that I like personally. Some have complained that it is too long. I’d much rather have too much cord than not enough.
Bottom line, if you want a cheap pair on the fly, buy the Sennheiser HD 202. This pair is around the $20 mark.
If you want to buy a better pair of cans and are willing to spend around $100, then Sennheiser has another choice for you. Try the Sennheiser HD-280 PRO Headphones — you can’t go wrong here. This is superb quality for sure. Not the best on the market, but probably all that one will ever need.
If you want to go all out and get DJ quality, go with the Sennheiser HD25-1 II Closed-Back Headphones.
Three choices. One pair for $20. Another pair for $100. The third for $187. What’s your favorite brand of cans?
