Many of us prefer not to take any medicines, or if we do only when necessary. Then there are those days when the pain will not ease up. Then we open the medicine cabinet and hunt for the NSAIDs — or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, which are among the most common pain relief medicines in the world.
Most of us do not suffer from these side effects, however, some do and this should be duly noted. Side effects such as: gastrointestinal problems, high blood pressure, kidney damage, and allergic reactions.
There are a few of these drugs that have been labeled as dangerous, specifically the Cox-2 inhibitors. Remember the drug Vioxx? It was taken off the market.
